Manuscript Title: SMATASY: a program for the model independent description of the Z resonance.
Authors: S. Kirsch, T. Riemann
Program title: SMATASY version 2.2
Catalogue identifier: ADBG_v1_0
Distribution format: gz
Journal reference: Comput. Phys. Commun. 88(1995)89
Programming language: Fortran.
Operating system: UNIX.
RAM: 34K words
Word size: 32
Keywords: Particle physics, Elementary, Electron-positron Annihilation, Scattering matrix, Cross sections, Asymmetries, Model independent ansatz, Radiative corrections, Empirical model.
Classification: 11.6.

Nature of problem:
The program determines cross sections and asymmetries in the vicinity of the Z resonance taking into account radiative corrections up to O(alpha**2). This model independent determination is based on the S-matrix approach.

Solution method:
SMATASY is designed as a new interface of the ZFITTER package [1]. Therefore it relies on the same treatment of radiative corrections as ZFITTER.
