Manuscript Title: A subroutine and procedure for the rapid calculation of simple off- diagonal rational approximants.
Authors: P.R. Graves-Morris, D.E. Roberts
Program title: FORTRAN CALCULATION OF SODS
Catalogue identifier: ACRS_v1_0
Distribution format: gz
Journal reference: Comput. Phys. Commun. 9(1975)46
Programming language: Fortran.
Computer: ICL 4130.
Operating system: DES 2.
RAM: 5K words
Word size: 24
Keywords: General purpose, Rational, Approximant, Simple off diagonal, Prong, Chisholm, Perturbation series, Pade.
Classification: 4.7.

Nature of problem:
These approximants may be applied for resummation of the perturbation series with two interaction hamiltonians, e.g. that in potential scattering given by the sum of an attractive and a repulsive Yukawa potential, many other applications are envisaged, especially in the field of critical phenomena.

Solution method:
Prong methods.

Restrictions:
The problem must be well-conditioned. Note that the programs are written for an ICL 4130 with 48 bits floating point word length.

Running time:
2N**4 m s approximately.
