Nature of problem:
The package Legendre contains three FUNCTION subprograms which calculate respectively Legendre polynomials and ordinary and modified spherical harmonics for partial wave expansions.

Solution method:
The method of calculation is a forward recurrence in l(l=m,m+1,...,lmax) for each m, from m=0,1,...,mmax.
