Nature of problem:
The program calculates the refractive index gradients generated in a dye solution flowing through a cell, transversely pumped by a repetitively pulsed copper vapor laser beam.

Solution method:
The heat diffusion is simulated taking into account enhanced diffusivity resulting from vortexes, and a turbulent stream velocity profile. The refractive index gradients were calculated using tabulated parameters.
