Nature of problem:
One of the experimental methods used to determine nuclear fusion cross sections is based on measurements of the X-rays emitted during the radioactive decay of evaporation residues. This program is used to extract cross sections for the formation of each evaporation residue from the analysis of the time dependence of the corresponding activities.

Solution method:
The evaporation-residue cross sections are taken as adjustable parameters in a x**2-minimization procedure, through which the theoretical expressions for the time-dependence of the X-ray activities are fitted to the corresponding experimental data.
