Nature of problem:
There is a wide range using vector calculus in orthogonal curvilinear coordinates and vector integration, differentiation and series expansion.

Computer aided algebra using standard orthogonal curvilinear coordinate expressions for differential and integral operators.

Unusual features:
The REDUCE procedures use LISP vectors to provide a compact mathematical notation similar to that normally found in vector analysis textbooks.

Running time:
This is problem and machine dependent: the test example given took 58 c.p.u. seconds on a VAX 11/750 and 18 seconds on the Olivetti M24 PC with ACORN ARM application board.
