Nature of problem:
Simulation of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in hadronic production of jets and heavy flavour particles, with inclusion of initial and final QCD bremsstrahlung.

Solution method:
Monte Carlo generation of hard process and of initial and final QCD emission of quanta.

Running time:
In antiproton-proton collisions at a c.m. energy of 540 GeV, with final state calculated at the particle level, and no selection on hard events (present test-run set-up), ~ 12 events per c.p.u. second of CDC 7600. Forcing production of hard events, and with final state calculated at the particle level, ~ 9 events per second. Forcing production of hard events, and with final state calculated only at the level of quanta (jets), ~ 370 events per second.
