Nature of problem:
A standard format for the storage of reactance matrices is proposed. Collision cross sections are computed from these data.

Solution method:
The data are sorted and checked for completeness. The computation proper uses a matrix algebra. The lengths of the arrays may be adjusted to suit the problem and the store available in the computer.

Unusual features:
Double length, 8 bytes per word, is used for most variables.

Running time:
Compile time 1 min, execution of sample data, 175 cards, 9 sec.
