Nature of problem:
Generation of 'big letters' on a x/y-plotter for signs, headings, etc., including sub- and superscripts, the letter Angstrom, all German non- ASCII characters, and all Greek letters.

Solution method:
All symbols are generated from predefined shapes as a sequence of parallel vertical strokes.

Restrictions:
Max. 20 lines of max. 80 characters; no at-sign, no dollar-sign, no number-sign, no braces, no ampersand, no inverse slash, no underscore, no circumflex, no tilde, no grave accent, no vertical bar.

Unusual features:
Interactive execution from terminal, using format-free input as far as possible.
